Vinexpo is an international brand that specialises in creating and developing major events in the wine and spirits sector, organised for and by people in the trade. Ever since its inception in 1981, Vinexpo has been connecting industry insiders to boost sales and stimulate the market. The brand brings proven expertise as a business facilitator – whether to Vinexpo Bordeaux, in the heart of some of the world’s most
prestigious vineyards, or to the buoyant markets served by Vinexpo Hong Kong and Vinexpo Tokyo – and works alongside its clients to open up opportunities for the future. Vinexpo New York now makes Vinexpo the only independent international brand exclusively working in the wine and spirits sector to cover the three continents with the highest consumption rates. Those close links with clients enable Vinexpo to
stay on top of changing markets in order to come up with the right solutions. The group is growing apace with the establishment of new business events such as Vinexpo Explorer and the launch of Vinexpo Paris in January 2020. It also publishes every year the Vinexpo/IWSR Report, which is the most comprehensive survey of the global consumption of wine and spirits.
“It’s where we need to be as reporters and as thought leaders for the industry”
Marvin R. Shanken
Founded in 1981, Vinexpo is the world’s leading show for wine and spirits professionals and a partner for the wine and spirits industry worldwide. Vinexpo is held in Bordeaux in odd-numbered years. Since 1998, Vinexpo Hong Kong (formerly known as Vinexpo Asia-Pacific) has taken place in even-numbered years, and in 2014, Vinexpo expanded to the Japanese market with the debut of Vinexpo Tokyo, also held in even-numbered years. The two have become key exhibitions of the industry in Asia. Before each exhibition, Vinexpo commissions studies on industry-specific issues and presents the findings in conferences around the world. Since 1999, it has produced a world market study with a five-year outlook, as well as a variety of trend reports.
