Mouton Rothschild in Bordeaux chooses Chinese artist for its latest label

10.12.2010 - Vinexpo news selection

After Braque, Dali, Miro and Chagall, Château Mouton Rothschild has chosen the Chinese painter Xu Lei, the artistic director of the Today Art Museum, a major gallery of contemporary art in Beijing, to illustrate the label of its 2008 vintage.
“China has become a country where people drink great wines, so it seemed natural to choose a Chinese artist,” commented Hervé Berland, General Manager of the group.
Every year since 1945, well-known artists have painted original works for the labels of this prestigious Bordeaux wine.
Baron Philippe de Rothschild will be present at Vinexpo 2011. (Vinexpo / 30 November 2010)
