Bordeaux Grands Crus Référence, a subsidiary of the French mutual insurance group MAAF in charge of running its winegrowing estates, has just sold Château Tour Saint-Christophe to Peter Kwok, a Chinese businessman from Taiwan, who already owns Château Haut-Brisson. The 17 hectares (42 acres) of this Saint-Emilion grand cru will thus join the 16 hectares (391/2 acres) of Haut-Brisson, another grand cru of the same appellation.
Sandrine Bosc, the Director and winemaker of the estate, travelled to China to discuss the synergies to be implemented between the two properties. (VSB – 21 October 2011)
