Asian consumption grew by 28.7% strengthening its position as the leading market for cognac in volume ahead of North America. Statistics from the Bureau National Interprofessionnel du Cognac also point to an increase in the volumes of higher quality cognacs (VSOP and XO), which now account for 54.4% of the total market.
