Vinexpo 2011 will also host a series of major conferences and debates on news topics, such as grape varieties, wine tourism, the Chinese taste for wine, and the effects of climate change, as well as on some of the core issues of the industry, including alcohol consumption and health, the American wine consumer and “21st century, the amazing story of wine tomorrow” with sociologist Christian Gatard. The sommeliers who are present will attend the International Sommellerie Association’s conference on 20 June for a debate on the many Best Sommelier competitions.
