Constellation Wines, is to expand its solar initiative to become the producer of the largest amount of solar energy in the U.S. wine industry.
Approximately 17,000 solar panels will be installed at the wineries by the end of 2010.
Jay Wright, president of Constellation Wines North America, said: "We are extremely proud. Not only this initiative has a positive impact on the environment, but it is also cost effective, saving approximately $ 1 million in energy costs per year." (Harpers / 4 October 2010)
