Russian Standard, a vodka launched in 1997, which has since become the leading premium vodka in Russia, has just acquired Buinsky a new distillery in the south-east of Russia for $20 million.
Russian Standard sells 2 million cases every year and announced 5% growth in 2009. It exceeds 1 million cases in exports, especially to the US, the UK and Germany. (V&S News / 26 November 2010)
