Champagne experts have found a bottle of champagne which was filled from Heidsieck, from the ruins of the ship near the provincial Aaland, Finland.
The divers found a cargo containing approximately 150 bottles of champagne last July on two screens shipwrecks that sank in the year 1825-1830 is estimated, and the end of November and the experts identified some brands such as Veuve Clicquot Juglar and who declared the oldest in the world.
Four bottles were identified from emergency Heidsieck & Co. Monopole, which is now owned by Vranken Pommery Monopole.
“In the 1800s and the early 1900s Heidsieck champagne is one of the top producers and is one of the brands that we think will be found in the cargo it,” says Richard Juhlin, a specialist champagne.(AFP / 17 January 2011)
