French wines and spirits exports enjoyed strong growth in both volume and value in the first half of 2010, according to latest figures issued by Federation des Exportateurs de Vins et Spiritueux (FEVS).
By volume, wine exports totaled over 66.5m cases representing an increase of 41% on the first six months of 2009, while spirits rose by 19.5% - exceeding 23.2m cases.
Value exports for French wines in the period totaled close to €2.64bn, up by 21.9%, while spirits increased to €1.23bn, a rise of 34% on the year. (The Drinks Business / October 2010)
