Glazer’s the American wine and spirits wholesaler is strengthening its network in Texas by acquiring specialist distributors Prestige Wine Cellars in November 2010. PWC’s management team will remain in place according to the buyer and will be responsible for building the firm into Glazer’s distribution subsidiary for premium wines in Texas. The acquisition is in line with Glazer’s strategy to develop its wine business. The wholesaler started trading in Dallas and has operations today in 11 US states (Arizona, Arkansas, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma and Texas).
