The Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA), having applied its quality certification system to wine storage facilities in 2009 and sales outlets in June 2011, has just extended its standard to wine transport services. Logistics companies and freight providers registered or active in Hong Kong can now earn a quality certificate if they comply with specifications that ensure the transportation of wine in optimal conditions. The system consists of two levels: “commercial” wine transport and fine wine transport. Kerry Logistics, Kerry Warehouse and CN Logistics have already been certified in the first category, while CN Logistics has also received the certificate for fine wines along with Times Logistics and DHL Global Forwarding.
