Between 2005 and 2009 with 82.88% growth, Australian wines were the fastest developing imports, followed by Argentina, up 66.82% and Chile, up 60.67%. Over the same period, French wines, which account for almost 40% of all wines drunk in the Netherlands, lost ground slightly, down 1.82%.
