The Chinese group Utrans Global Wine has ordered €1 million of wine for delivery in 2011 from the Sancerre producer Fournier Père et Fils. The contract was signed when the Chinese president Hu Jintao visited France. It represents 10% of this family estate’s total sales. Utrans Global Wine specialises in the warehousing and redistribution of wines. The major advantage for the French company is that it will only be liable for duty when the bottles actually leave the warehouse and are sold in China.
