South America sends a significant number of visitors also

South America has always been very present at Vinexpo through its exhibitors, but it is also becoming better and better represented by its visitors.

Brazil is participating in Vinexpo for the second time with a national pavilion, but in 2011 it should also contribute significantly with visitors. The Brazilians are interested in Vinexpo because of the country’s vibrant wine and spirits sector that is boosted by developing local production and exploding imports. The largest Brazilian importer, MISTRAL as well as LA PASTINA, AURORA, EXPAND and CASA FLORA have already registered. CENCOSUD the Chilean retail chain with well-developed networks in Latin America, which is the 4th largest super- and hypermarket chain in Brazil, will be represented by its purchasing manager. Chile will also be represented by a large party of sommeliers from the Associacion de Sommeliers de Chile. Finally, Mexico will be present with its importers VINOTECA MEXICO, FERRER Y ASOCIADOS and IMPORTACIONES INTERAMERICANA. The latter company has said it will be coming with some of its major customers.
