Turkey’s prominent wine producers, including Doluca, Kavaklidere, Kayra, Kocabag and Vinkara, have founded Wines of Turkey, a platform to promote wine consumption and exports.
The organization will coordinate communication and marketing activities in Turkey and abroad, host global wine professionals for activities in Turkey and support education in the sector.
The platform will have an annual budget of a 3 million euros, of which 700,000 euros will come from producing companies and the rest from government sources. (Hurriyet Daily News / 10 November 2010)
