Pelican Brands in Indiana, a player in the spirits market is moving into wine importation. The company has signed an exclusive US distribution deal with Marisco Vineyards, a producer in the Marlborough area of New Zealand with 260 hectares (a little more than 640 acres) of vines. The aim is to import up to 40,000 cases in four years time. (V&S News / 26 November 2010)
