The Bordeaux 2010 vintage will be “racy”, “amazing” and “another very great year for red and white” after 2009 which was already “showered with praise”. Several professional commentators hold the converging opinion that this is because of the very favourable weather conditions during the year.
After 2009, Denis Dubourdieu, Director of the Vine and Wine Sciences Institute in Bordeaux, wonders, “Could Nature gift Bordeaux with another great vintage?”. At this point in the winemaking process “with malolactic fermentation over and the blending strategy practically finalised”, he asserts that, “2010 will most certainly be a great, even very great vintage for red and white”.
