Castel has been active in Asia since 1999 and is the leading purveyor of French wines in China. Strongly positioned with its subsidiary in China and a partnership with the Chinese leader Changyu, Castel is consolidating its network with ten import partners to supply more than 1,500 Chinese distributors. Castel exported more than 13 million bottles to China in 2009 and has already reached 20 million bottles in 2010. These commercial accomplishments justify the validity of the group’s strategy based on wide ranges of beacon brands and Châteaux to satisfy all customers’ need. Castel wines are also currently featured in a television advertising campaign involving three Chinese national channels. Castel will be present at Vinexpo 2011. (Vitisphère / 19 November 2010)
