The largest wine and spirits showcase in Asia
A further 1,200 sq. m of floor space had been prepared in the main hall of the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre to meet the high demand from companies. 692 exhibitors from 32 countries representing all five continents filled 7,000 sq. m of stands. Never before had such a wide range of wines and spirits been on display in one place in Asia-Pacific. Nearly 70,000 bottles were available for tasting, representing all the major production areas in the world.
The richly international dimension of the exhibition is clearly displayed by the wide range of origins of the exhibitors. The major producing countries were there: Spain, Italy, France, Argentina, Chile, South Africa, US, etc. Alongside these were other countries that were new to Vinexpo Asia-Pacific: Venezuela, Mexico, Uruguay and Canada from the Americas, and Switzerland, Macedonia and even Moldavia. South Korea joined the other Asian producing countries, especially China, a major emerging producer.
