Centre Loire sold more than 327,000 hectolitres of its wines between 1st August 2013 and 31st July 2014 and broke their sales record set in the previous year. “A slight drop in traders’ purchases outside our region was more than compensated by 8% more exports and 4% growth in the French market”, points out Benoit Roumet, the director of BIVC, the region’s wine board.
