The current business climate, instead of demoralising the exhibitors, stimulated them to organise all sorts of events to highlight their presence at Vinexpo, thereby filling the exhibition with great energy
The conference and tasting rooms attracted substantial numbers of professionals.
In all, nearly 80 conferences or tastings were organised by the
exhibitors, Vinexpo or official organisations in rooms in the Marketers
hall and in Halls 2 and 3. More than 10,000 professionals attended.
Many events were also organised on the stands
The visitors especially liked how the small and large companies that
were new to Vinexpo or loyal participants, worked hard to promote and
highlight their products. This 15th Vinexpo witnessed a whole range of
innovative ideas implemented by exhibitors, including new product
presentations, wine and food pairings, book signings and cooking
lessons.
Vinexpo is of course an excellent platform for promotion, and again was
used as an opportunity to advertise and launch new products, to focus on
a specific grape variety, a company or even a new producing country.
This included events such as Malbec Corner, combining Argentinean Malbec
varietals with Cahors wines, the record breaking "largest Irish coffee
in the world", a 70-litre beverage prepared by Irish company Bord Bia,
the presentation of the French company Birkedal Hartmann’s latest cognac
by American rap singer Ludacris, the introduction of GRM’s wines by
French rugby international Fabien Pelous, as well as the estate wine
tastings by Jean-Michel Cazes before the renowned chef Thierry Marx.
